Always keep your camera ready—a reminder given to me on a trip down the Oregon coast. While driving with my mom and brother, a massive bank of fog appeared out of nowhere, swallowing the coastline. After navigating the narrow, shoulder-less road to find parking, I ran back to this vantage point just as five figures appeared, framed nicely against 'The Needles'—the dramatic sea stacks standing beside the famous Haystack Rock.
